Aldeburgh Carnival Pairs 2016 - Results

ALDEBURGH CARNIVAL PAIRS 2016 - RESULTS
After 20 teams having entered and playing 3 qualifying games each, we whittled it down to the semi-finalists as follows;

Martin Inglis & Pete Sharkey (Eels Foot) v Paddy Rosseau & Mark Adamson (Parrot)
and
Mike & Martha Rios-Hall (Eels Foot) v John Benford & Sian Hart (Leiston Engineers)

It was not to be an all Eels final as Mark & Paddy edged their game whilst Mike & Martha got through in their game.

So settling down to the Final, Mike & Martha played some nice boules but the pair of Parrots proved too strong on the day and very quickly reached 13 points without reply (just like the 2015 Final when a couple from Bressingham defeated Aldeburgh 13-0)

Congratulations Mark & Paddy, well done to Mike & Martha, a big well done to John & Sian who are proving that Leiston are a force to be reckoned with. Thanks to all who attended and took part, especially players who had come down from Manchester and up from Essex & Buckinghamshire.
