Spectator Seating installed at Kingston Field, Woodbridge
Thanks to further monies provided via the Local Councillors Locality Budgets through Suffolk County Council, the Kingston Playing Fields piste at Woodbridge, has had spectator seating installed ready for the new season.
This raises the seating capacity of the piste to.....4.....maybe 5 if you all ''budge up''!!
Now included in the Team Ipswich Sports Guide
Our application to get our leagues contact details into the Team Ipswich Sports Guide has been successful and we are now included, along with our website details. The Sports Guide can be accessed via Team Ipswich and/or Ipswich Borough Councils website.
Hopefully this will help interested persons, who search out petanque via the Team Ipswich/IBC websites, to get in touch and be able to find out more information.

More Registrations
Today we received our 41st registration for the 2011 season and during the course of tomorrow before the registration event, we believe another 4 registrations are coming bringing us to an expected 45 teams prior to the evenings entertainment, starting at 7.30pm in the Huntingfield Village Hall.
The identities of these remaining teams will remain clouded in a veil of secrecy until tomorrow evening (as we want to keep a few surprises up our sleeves!!)
And of course, we may also have other teams turn up to register tomorrow night that we are not even currently aware of!!

Coastal League Pre-Season Training
'Bear-ly' six days left until Registration Night and everybody is getting in some pre-season practice. We caught up with Ted, Rupert, Winnie etc during a 'paws' in their practice session, they told us the 'grizzly' truth about their forthcoming season.
Ted wanted to know ''who had been using his boules'', Rupert was displying the new team kit of red jumper and fetching checked yellow trousers and matching scarf, Winnie was slightly ''browned off'', Paddington was back from his recent petanque playing experience in deepest Peru, Yogi was enjoying a combination of both boules and ''pick-a-nick baskets'' and Ursa said the social side of the league was a ''major'' reason for signing on.
Joint spokesmen for the team, Bungle and Fozzie, who both have plenty to say, said it was a league ''claws'' for everybody to play and enjoy your boules regardless of win, lose or draw.
Thank you to the members of the Alde-bear-a team for the interview.
