2016 KING RAEDWALD CUP @ SUTTON HOO
2016 KING RAEDWALD CUP @ SUTTON HOO
SUNDAY JULY 24th
Team Event - You need 4 players ONLY, no more, no less.
Cost is £10 per adult, £6 per child to take part
National Trust members need only pay £3 each but they need to give me their Membership number and also bring their card on the day.
Format will be slightly amended to create more time to enjoy the sights and sounds of Sutton Hoo, as it will again be their 1930's Garden Party and a Spitfire fly-past, but you will play as pairs playing over a fixed 7 ends, to create the quick turnaround of matches.
Entry will be limited to a maximum of 12 teams. Have already got 8 teams confirmed pending full entry details.
Entries can be paid online in the Leagues Bank Account details but send me an email to confirm who is in your team and any National Trust membership numbers.

This coming weekend, 28th, 29th, 30th May sees us reach the halfway point of the league programme (already I hear you say!!).
Therefore to gauge whether you are up-to-date or behind in your fixtures, please use the following guide as an indicator;

You should be completing your 4th match by this week

Visit of La Petanque Montoise (Belgium)
Following the visit of our friends from La Petanque Montoise (Belgium), we had 3 separate events over the weekend, with the individual winners;
1st Leg - Friday 13th May
Mark Adamson & Paddy Rosseau (Parrot & Punchbowl)
2nd Leg - Saturday 14th May
Dave & Julie Mark (Crown Inn Snape)
3rd Leg - Sunday 15th May
Lewis Fletcher & Martha Rios-Hall (Eels Foot Inn)
So at each leg, the winners were a pair from the host team, coincidence or home piste advantage?
In the analysis of matches that were efeectively ACPL v La Petanque Montoise, the weekends match score was ACPL 21 wins LPM 10 wins.
A great weekend with over 60 ACPL players involved over the 3 days and an offer for us to return to LPM in 2017.
